Not only <strong>have their insurers repaid 100% of their deposits plus interest<\/strong>,<strong> but now an out of court settlement<\/strong> has been reached with\u00a0Grupo Lar\u00a0so that a group of investors that never got their homes also get, additionally, compensation valued at almost 50% of the original deposit they paid.<\/p>\n<p>Admittedly, this penalty\u00a0clause was not imposed by us back in 2005-6, when exchange of contracts took place, <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">but was offered by Grupo Lar<\/span> to prove their commitment to the project and boost their sales.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">This is probably the best outcome any investor could have had<\/span> as not only was the deposit returned, with interest, but also an <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">additional\u00a0payment\u00a0received at a\u00a0time<\/span> where the exchange rate will allow them to buy 20% more sterling than they had to disburse to buy the Euros and&#8230;, they did not have to complete on a property that would have been worth, in the best of cases, 30% less.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I would say so if we take a look at how they have\u00a0indemnified their clients for not building Lar Sol Estepona.
